Business software built in Canada

Everything your organization must track, decide and communicate — in one place.

Projects and portfolios, communications and alerts, command post, assistant, documents, scheduling, agreements: a bilingual platform, hosted in Canada, that you switch on one module at a time.

Hosted in CanadaServing the US and CanadaSince 2017

Main Street reconstruction is slipping. The project lead, management and the officials concerned know the moment a milestone slips — not at the next meeting.

Project management

Your portfolio, at a glance.

Every project with its schedule, commitments and risks — and management sees the real status without having to ask.

  • Milestones that warn you before they slip
  • Commitments compared with the authorized budget

What we do

One platform, switched on as you need it

Start with what’s urgent. The rest adds on over the same data, the same access rules and the same audit trail — with no new vendor.

Communications and alerts

Reach the right team — or a whole neighbourhood — by phone, text or email, and know who received it. An alert nobody answers keeps escalating until someone does.

Command post

Every citizen request is triaged, assigned to the right department, escalated when it’s urgent — and its file stays. For operations, public safety and emergency management.

Assistant

It answers when nobody is there, in the person’s language, and passes the request on. It asks permission before recording, and every exchange is logged.

Documents and search

Find a document by what it says, not by what someone named it.

Scheduling and shifts

Schedules that respect your rules and agreements, even in 24/7 operations — and a replacement found by text when someone is missing.

Sealed agreements

Negotiate, sign, seal. A sealed agreement doesn’t move: each party keeps proof of what was signed, and when.

Governance and access

Everyone sees what their role and their situation allow — an elected official, a director, an outside contractor — and every access, every change leaves a trace.

Hosted in Canada

Your data stays in Canadian data centers, in Montréal.

CRTC-registered

Beyond IT is a telecommunications service provider registered with the CRTC.

Health Canada — Class I

Our connected-device integrations in healthcare are Class I: self-assessment accepted by Health Canada in May 2026.

AI under control

It asks permission before recording, and every exchange is logged.

Bilingual by design

Every screen, notice and report exists in English and French.

Edmonton and Montréal

Headquartered in Alberta, with an office in Quebec — and a team that answers in your language.

Why us

Three things to judge before you call us.

1

You know who builds it.

The platform’s chief architect is also its lead developer. Our project director holds a SECRET security clearance from the Government of Canada, valid through 2028; our senior engineering advisor is a professional engineer with more than thirty years in capital projects. You know who you are talking to before you sign.

2

We deliver fast — and we show you.

A complete module can be delivered production-ready in a matter of weeks. We don’t ask to be believed: ask us to demonstrate it, on a case that looks like yours.

3

The exit is settled before the entry.

Your data exports in standard formats at any time, and stays available for thirty days after the contract ends. It is written into our terms, not left to negotiate the day you want to leave.

Everything the platform brings together

One vendor, where a city lines up five.

Each capability switches on separately, over the same data, the same access rules and the same audit trail. This is the breadth — the depth shows in a demo.

Steer

  • Projects and portfoliosSchedule, critical path, what-if simulation, plan versus actual, committed budget.
  • Thirteen work toolsSchedule, kanban, calendar, booking, spreadsheet, pivot, diagram, forms, canvas — driven in English, French or Spanish.

Our story

Born in healthcare, where mistakes aren’t an option

“We built what we wished existed.”

— Mathieu Dionne, founder

Beyond IT first connected the medical records of a network of clinics in Alberta: systems that can’t go down, data that can’t be lost. That’s the standard we bring to public and private organizations.

  1. 2003Mathieu Dionne starts his career in IT.
  2. 2017Beyond IT is incorporated, for a network of clinics in Alberta: medical-record bridges, then the network’s financial platform — daily consolidation, physician pay, automated reconciliation. Operated through 2025.
  3. 2021Medical billing for RAMQ, Quebec’s public health insurance plan, and physician scheduling — and a first project-management application.
  4. 2025The platform opens to Quebec municipalities, starting with project management.
  5. TodaySeveral products moving at once on the same platform: project management, command post, communications and alerts, assistant, scheduling, sealed agreements — and much more.
The team

The people behind the platform

The team named here is the team that designs, builds and advises. At peak times we can bring in senior developers from an established team — an independent company that runs its own platform for its own clients. The agreement itself binds you to Beyond IT Inc., and to Beyond IT alone.

Mathieu Dionne

Chief architect, platform and security; CEO

23 years of experience in information technology. Since 2022, has worked on the largest clinical information system (CIS) in Quebec’s health network — used every day by thousands of health professionals across the province. Designer and lead developer of the Beyond IT platform — integrated tools, document-intelligence and report-generation services. Designer of the platform’s four-layer zero-trust security model and of its multi-cloud Kubernetes deployment architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure). Developed the Microsoft Entra ID identity mapper, demonstrated with 1,500 accounts in a live environment.

Sarah Lamontagne

Advisor, territorial development and municipal governance

An advisor to Beyond IT, assigned by name to mandates involving land-use planning and municipal governance. Holds the Adm. A. designation of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec — Quebec’s order of chartered administrators — granted in 2026; seventeen years in territorial development. Four years as an agricultural development advisor at the MRC de Drummond, on the implementation of the agricultural zone development plan — bringing together producers, municipalities and economic development bodies that do not report to one another, then accounting for what each of them did: funding applications, technical reports, progress statements. An elected municipal councillor in Sainte-Clotilde-de-Horton, one full term, from 2021 to 2025. Served five years on the board of the COPERNIC watershed organization.

Mario Dionne

Project director and chief integration architect

35+ years integrating enterprise systems within the federal government and Canada’s largest financial institutions. The architect who has administered every layer — from the operating system (AIX, Linux, z/OS, Windows) to databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), from enterprise platforms (SAP, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365) to automation pipelines (Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps). Senior DB2 DBA for the Phoenix pay system (federal pay for 300,000+ public servants, on PeopleSoft/DB2) from 2017 to 2024 — administration, optimization, diagnosis of complex problems and performance management on data platforms with high operational demands. SAP experience across two mandates: SAP integration architect at Resolute — full JDE → SAP Netweaver/DB2 conversion, high availability, module-level restores across development, test and production environments; and at Bell Canada, SAP-to-DB2/SQL Server data-transfer strategies with an OLAP model built on SAP CO and the Finance and HR general ledger. Modernization and industrialization of PostgreSQL data platforms: he designed and built for Transport Canada a PostgreSQL Enterprise Manager on Ansible — automated administration, standardized configurations, streamlined deployments and governance of database environments (2024–2025). Designed cross-platform integration architectures (z/OS ↔ UNIX ↔ Windows ↔ AS/400 ↔ Cloud) at Desjardins. Architected the integration of ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM/ITAM, CMDB and CSDM with Dynamics 365 and Azure DevOps at Desjardins over REST/JSON APIs: flow governance, data quality and system connectivity. By linking Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to change management — deployment tracking and release governance — he built the bridge between operations and development. Holds a Government of Canada SECRET clearance (valid until 2028).
